Police pursuits are back.  

There have been 35 police pursuits this year already, 17 of those pursuits have led to arrests according to Doug Fryer, Assistant Commissioner for Road Policing. He spoke with 3AW Mornings. 

‘It is a risk to engage in a pursuit, but there are times when we need to engage these offeners – the community expects it,’ he said. 

Every pursuit is reviewed by senior officers.
