At least 18 Victorian COVID-19 testing sites closed due to extreme heat

At least 18 COVID-19 testing sites in Victoria have had to close due to the extreme weather.

With the temperature in Melbourne soaring to 38°C, and temperatures up to 10 degrees higher in testing tents, as well as staff in full PPE, the sites have been closed for the safety of staff.

The closed sites:

• Chisholm Tafe, Berwick
• Deer Park IPC, Deer Park
• Empress Rd, St Kilda
• Frankston Hospital, Frankston
• Hamstead Rd, Maidstone
• IYU Pakenham, Pakenham
• Melton FNC, Toolern Vale
• Mickleham Rd, Tullamarine
• Monash Health, Dandenong
• Monash Uni, Clayton
• Northern Health, Craigieburn
• Showgrounds Building 1, Ascot Vale
• Vic Uni, Werribee East
• Wantirna Trash and Treasure, Wantirna
• Wyuna Walk Drive-through, Mooroolbark
