Auctioneer swallows fly mid multi-million dollar sale of Melbourne pub
RUMOUR CONFIRMED
There was a young man who swallowed a fly, and he just happened to be auctioning off a multi-million dollar property in Melbourne’s north at the time.
As reported on The Rumour File, an auctioneer choked on a fly during the auction of the Quiet Man Hotel in Kensington.
Paul Tzamalis, Director of The Auction Company, later told Ross and John about the untimely run-in with the insect.
“I was just about to call it three times and the bloody thing just jumped in the back of my throat,” he said.
In amusing audio of the incident, Paul (above) can be heard gasping for air and spitting the pesky creature out before saying “I’ll wash that down with a beer, my apologies!”
