Australian men are the world’s longest lived, a new study has revealed, but the research shows this will no longer be the case by 2030.

South Korean men born from 2030 onwards are expected to have the highest life expectancy of 84 years.

At the moment, an average Australian male sits at 80 years.

Bernard Salt, demographer with KPMG, says this is because of our ‘pretty good quality of life’

‘It comes down to our diet, healthy outdoor living, and quality of health care,’ he told Ross and John.

When it comes to women, South Korea tops the list again with life expectancy is expected to break 90 years by 2030.

Australian women are in sixth spot at 87 years.
