A Tasmanian woman shot in Paris’ Bataclan Theatre has opened up about the terrifying night.

Emma Parkinson, 19, has been released from hospital after successful surgery on her leg, and is on the way home.

Emma has agreed to do one public interview, for which she refused payment, which will air on Channel 9’s 60 Minutes on Sunday night.

‘She is the most incredible young woman,’ Ross Coultard, who conducted the interview, told Neil Mitchell.

‘She’s passionate about (French) culture; she’s not going to let this get in the way of her feelings about a country she loves.’

Mr Coultard said Emma is looking forward to returning to France, but not before a bit of quality family time first.

‘She’s having a Christmas with her family that she never expected to have.’
