Australia Post to appoint chief mental health officer
Australia Post will become the first government business to appoint a chief mental health officer.
And it’s got the backing of one workplace culture and leadership expert.
Tammy Tansley told Tom Elliott mental health issues cost the economy billions of dollars.
She said the mental health officer would not only help staff, but the business as a whole.
“These roles are meant to be about identifying the problems, the levers, that are causing people to take so much time off, in terms of stress leave and sick leave, and to try and address it,” she said.
