Australia’s newest millionaire thanks ‘divine intervention’

Edwin Daley sees a new caravan in his near future.

This is because Mr Daley is Australia’s newest millionaire, having won $1m on Channel 9’s game show Hot Seat on Monday night.

But he told Neil Mitchell he received a bit of help on the set.

‘I truly believe there was divine intervention,’ Mr Daley said.

For example, he just happened to have once played korfball, an obscure sport of Dutch origin that was the centre of the 12th question.

Mr Daley said 10% of his winnings will go to charities that improve people’s lives.
