AUSTRALIA WIN
Australia has won a rain-affected match by seven wickets.
The home side was set 95 off 90 balls after quality fast bowling from Billy Stanlake and AJ Tye kept New Zealand to just 9-117.
Stanlake (3-15) removed both Kiwi openers with his first two deliveries, and Tye (4-23) swept up the tail, after Dave Warner won the toss and sent the visitors in.
The rain arrived during the innings break, with the Duckworth/Lewis system leaving Australia 95 to chase off 15 overs.
Chris Lynn (44) and Glenn Maxwell (40*) led Australia home without too much fuss.
Chappelli: “It was Billy Stanlake who got Australia going with those early wickets – and put a lot of doubt in New Zealand’s batsmen’s minds.” #AusvNZ
