Australian basketballer addresses angst over transgender athletes

Australian basketballer Marena Whittle says she’d have “no problem” playing against a biological male in the WNBL, provided they’d passed any league requirements.

It comes on the back of reports a transgender athlete has applied to play in the NBL1 women’s league.

Whittle, who plays for the Adelaide Lightning in the WNBL, debated the issue with Tom Elliott on Tuesday.
