The Australian Bureau of Statistics insists the census will be successful, despite another issue plaguing the website.

Australians are being told to complete it using their smart-phones, with new security measures impacting some laptops and desktops.

ABS boss Chris Libreri has told Neil Mitchell, despite the latest issue, over 400-thousand-people have clicked submit since it came back online.

‘Nearly three million forms have been submitted online, we’ve been receiving lots of paper forms.’

‘You know, through all the trouble, the resilience of people to push on for an important thing is so appreciated by us.’

‘We can’t apologise enough.’ – Mr Libreri told 3AW Mornings.
