Australian Christian Lobby group targeted in ‘car bomb attack’
The headquarters of an anti-gay marriage lobby group has been the target of a car bomb attack.
A van apparently loaded with gas bottles drove into the Australian Christian Lobby group’s carpark in Canberra, before exploding.
The driver is believed to be receiving treatment for his injuries.
Managing director Lyle Shelton says he doesn’t want to speculate on the motive but it’s not the first incident of its kind.
‘Obviously someone out there doesn’t like our advocacy work,’ he said.
A vehicle has rammed our office in Canberra & exploded. All staff are safe. I do not know the condition of the driver. Prayers appreciated. pic.twitter.com/R1cKOIfMTC
