Australians working in film and television have expressed their concern on 3AW over the future of local content.

So much so, they’ve signed an open letter calling on the government to protect the country’s screen industry.

Matthew Deaner, CEO of Screen Producers Australia, spoke with Tom Elliott about the matter on Tuesday.

He was then followed by Pauly Fenech, Australian actor, writer and producer, who said our national identity was disappearing.

“Kids are now gravitating more to American culture than Australian culture,” he said.
