The idea of registering e-bikes and scooters was brought up earlier this morning on Neil Mitchell’s program from Deputy Lord Mayor Nicholas Reece.

However, Australian Cycle Alliance president Edward Hore disagrees with the idea and questions the logistics of it all.

“Registration itself doesn’t pay for itself, we are subsidising registration with our taxes every year,” Mr Hore told Tom Elliott.

The Andrews Government has dismissed a call to make the registration of e-bikes and scooters compulsory.
