Australian drug experts are concerned we could be a target for the latest deadly drug trend that combines heroin with fentanyl.

A powerful opioid drug cocktail called ‘Drop Dead’, which is made in China for the United States market, can easily cause overdose deaths.

The Age today reports it’s feared a string of deaths in Melbourne are connected to the drug.

Professor Michael Farrell from the University of New South Wales told Ross and John he’s concerned ‘Drop Dead’ could make its way to Australia.

“We need to be very concerned about it and ready to respond should it enter Australia,” he said.
