An Australian model says his experience in the surf helped him save the lives of seven teenagers who fell through ice into a freezing lake in New York’s Central Park.

Ethan Turnbull, 24, was with a friend when they saw the teens get into trouble while dancing and taking ‘selfies’ on the ice.

Ethan, originally from Coonabarabran in NSW, said the last two teens were unconscious when they were rescued.
