Australian sailor Tom Burton’s good decisions, sacrifices that led to his gold medal in Rio

Australian sailor Tom Burton has snared gold overnight in Rio.

He told Ross and John about how he came from behind in the second-best position, even when the odds were stacked against him. 

After six years of sacrifice, he said it came down to some good decision making.

‘It doesn’t really matter how fast you go, if you go the wrong way you are still going to lose,’ he said.
