Australian singer, composer and producer Billy Miller releases new album ‘Australia’

Billy Miller’s new album Australia is the first one he’s recorded for 15 years, but he says he’s never been far away from the music.

The former singer of The Ferrets has been performing, composing and producing for 40 years.

He tells Denis Walter he’s always recorded at home in the living room, breaking away from tradition.

The album features Paul Kelly and Rebecca Barnard, and it’s particularly special to Miller this time around.

‘This record is dedicated to my wife Lucy who passed away late last year after a long illness,’ he said.

‘She was hammering me ‘you’ve got to get Australia out’.’

Australia will be launched on Sunday 20 September from 4pm at the Caravan Music Club in Oakleigh.
