Australian unemployment dips to 13-year low
Australia is experiencing a jobs boom following the end of the Delta lockdowns.
The unemployment has dipped to a 13-year low of 4.6 per cent.
Close to half a million more people are now in work, compared to at the height of last year’s Delta lockdowns.
“Now that restrictions have eased … one of the common refrains out there from business owners out there is they can’t get enough workers, and that’s maybe one of the reasons why we’re seeing such strong jobs numbers,” Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg told Tony Jones, filling in for Neil Mitchell.
