Australians urged to make the most of the ‘great reshuffle’ and score themselves a pay rise

Josh Frydenberg is urging Australians to make the most of what he says is a “great reshuffle” in the workforce and earn themselves a pay rise in the process.

Employment educator Kim Seeling Smith, Future of Work Expert, said Australia was different to much of the world, given there were more jobs available than people to fill them.

“There are opportunities out there,” she said.

Kim Seeling Smith said COVID-19 was just one part of a broader issue.

“Tertiary education is not doing a great job of preparing people because the jobs are changing so quickly and our educational institutions are rather slow to change,” she said.
