Australians warned about passport wait times ahead of winter rush

Some two million Australian passports still need to be renewed, with travellers warned they still could face wait times of up to six weeks.

With winter fast-approaching, demand for new passports is expected to spike in Australia again.

“I think people hold off until it’s absolutely necessary,” Dr Sarah Gardiner, Director of the Griffith Institute of Tourism, told 3AW Breakfast.
