Australia’s overseas spy agency is looking for the next generation of intelligence officers, launching a recruitment drive today.

Applicants will be invited to take the “most interesting job interview” which will identify “smart” and “perceptive” people suitable to work for ASIS.

You can take the test yourself here.

Former spy Clive Williams, now with ANU’s Centre for Military and Security Law, told Ross and John ASIS is looking at a wider range of candidates than you might think.

“They’re looking for a variety of backgrounds, all sorts of different skill sets, languages and ages,” he said.

“I know one guy who got recruited in his early 60s because he had particular capabilities.

“Being able to think on your feet and exploit opportunities is what they’re looking for.”
