Australia’s top 10 most in-demand professions revealed
The top 10 most in-demand professions in Australia have been revealed as a part of National Skills Week.
It comes amid serious labour shortages, with unions and businesses set to meet next month to discuss how to best deal with Australia’s skill crisis.
Anthony Albanese says the federal government is putting measures in place to help train people, including $850 million to deliver almost half a million fee-free TAFE places.

- Civil engineering
- Early childhood teachers
- Registered nurses
- ICT business and systems analysts
- Software and app programmers
- Electricians
- Chefs
- Child carers
- Aged and disability carers
