Author of scathing open letter fears for ‘traumatic outcome’
The author of a scathing open letter to Cricket Australia “hopes like buggery” Cricket Australia is looking after Steve Smith’s mental health.
SKINS boss Jaimie Fuller took out a full page newspaper advertisement on Monday calling on the Cricket Australia board to stand tall.

But in talking to Tom Elliott on 3AW Drive on Monday, Fuller was at pains to point out the letter was directed at under-siege captain Steve Smith, saying the captain should be “protected” to avoid a “traumatic outcome”.
“We need to be aware of what he’s going through,” Mr Fuller said.
“I hope like buggery that Cricket Australia have got some sort of sense of a duty of care and people around Stephen, people protecting and helping him.
“He’s got to accept what he’s done, there’s no question, but the last thing we want is a traumatic outcome.
“He can come back, the concept of redemption it there.”
