Authorities are confident problems with Victoria’s new emergency services app have been fixed.

3AW Mornings has heard from several listeners that the VicEmergency app has been slow and difficult to navigate since its release in November.

But while Emergency Management Commissioner Craig Lapsley admits there have been teething problems, he says the latest update will smooth things out.

The update is now available.

Mr Lapsley told 3AW political reporter Lauren Hilbert it’s uncommon for apps to work perfectly from day one.

He said the update has been based on feedback from users and encouraged anyone who has further issues with the app to report them for future updates.

The VicEmergency app is the official app for information and warnings for emergencies in Victoria.
