Aviation industry launches ‘No More Carry On’ campaign amid concerning trend in passenger behaviour
Australians are being urged to calm down and take it easy while flying this holiday season.
The “No More Carry On” campaign has been launched by the aviation industry amid a concerning spike of violence, threats and abuse directed towards to airline staff.
“It’s disappointing that we’re having to do this, but things have changed,” James Goodwin, CEO of the Airports Association, told 3AW Mornings.
“Flying has changed.”
He said there was no doubt people were more tense and anxious about flying than they were previously, due to COVID-19.
