Baby stabbed to death in Reservoir

A woman is being questioned by police after a 13-month-old baby girl was found dead inside a house in Reservoir today.

Police arrived at the Fordham Street home to find the toddler’s body with stab wounds about 11am.

Three other children who were home at the time are unharmed.

A woman, 28, who police say is known to the toddler, was arrested at the scene.

Sophie, who lives in the area, says it’s horrifying.

“To have a baby killed… So innocent…” she told 3AW.

“It’s a big, big shock.”

Police say they’re not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
