Bail granted to Lebanese national over fatal crash, despite ‘flight risk’

A Lebanese national charged over a double-fatality at Attwood will be released on bail, despite a Magistrate admitting he’s a flight risk.
Mohammed Hassan, 20, was allegedly going up to 130kp/h in an 80 zone when he ran a red light in an unregistered car and t-boned a Toyota.
The driver and passenger couldn’t be saved, while Hassan only suffered minor injuries.
He’ll be released on bail once a $40,000 surety is posted, despite the Magistrate admitting he could pose a danger to the community.
He’s been issued with several strict bail conditions.
