Bali Nine member Michael Czugaj allegedly caught with drugs in jail

A member of the Bali Nine has been moved from Bali’s notorious Kerobokan prison after he was allegedly found with drugs.
Michael Czugaj has reportedly been moved to Madiun Prison in East Java after he was allegedly found holding less than a gram of the drug ice.
The Australian was sentenced to life imprisonment after being arrested at Denpasar Airport in April 2005 with heroin strapped to his body.
He was 19 at the time.
Head of Bali Corrections Division Nyoman Putra Surya said Mr Czugaj was one of 63 prisoners moved.
Nyoman alleged the Australian’s ‘addiction was strong’ and that leftover ice was ‘often’ found in his cell.
It is understood that officials are yet to notify the Australian consulate that he has been moved.
