Bayside residents taking extraordinary steps to combat crime

Some bayside residents are so worried about their cars being stolen they’ve taken the step of installing bollards in front of their properties.

Amid a reported rise in crime across several inner south-eastern suburbs, Josh Ploeger – who owns First Choice Bollards – said his company has been called on to provide an added layer of security for residents.

“It’s disgusting behaviour and it’s been occuring for a long time,” Mr Ploeger said on the current youth crime wave.
