A Carnegie woman has captured the damage caused the SkyRail project.

Maria Quinto emailed Neil Mitchell with a photo of elm trees that screened her property a few months ago.

However, they have since been lopped, leaving bare trunks reaching up from the ground.

Ms Quinto said the trees used to block out the train line, which was one of the reasons she bought the place.

She said the trees would have been at least 100 years old.
