Deputy Premier and Minister for Education, Ben Carroll, has been questioned over the lack of air conditioning in some Victorian government schools following this week’s extreme heat conditions.

The Deputy Premier told Jacqui Felgate, “Most schools do have air conditioning, and we do have a real prioritisation in northern Victoria where there are those high temperatures.”

When questioned about how many schools are without air conditioning in the state, the Deputy Premier responded, “I don’t have that exact number right on me.”
