3AW host Shane McInnes has been left “bewildered” by former Supreme Court judge Lex Lasry, who took aim at politicians and the media in a recent speech.

The recently retired judge stated the justice system has being compromised by “performative outrage” and “political theatre”.

“With all due respect Mr Lasry, is it possible media commentators sound angry because of the built up frustration within the community?” McInnes said.

“Being critical of decisions and questioning rulings should surely be a part of our public discourse.”

Former magistrate Tony Parsons then shared his thoughts on Mr Lasry’s comments and the state of the justice system in Victoria.
