Novak Djokovic has received his tenth Australian Open trophy, equalling the record for the most Grand Slam singles titles in men’s tennis.

The Serbian star “emotionally collapsed” after outclassing 24-year-old Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets.

Djokovic has implied this tournament has been the hardest yet.

“This probably is, I would say, the biggest victory in my life, considering the circumstances,” he said.

Djokovic said he wouldn’t have played on his hamstring injury if it wasn’t a major.

His father opted not to attend after facing backlash for posing with pro-Russian tennis fans, despite the tournament boss clearing him to watch the match at Rod Laver Arena.
