Bill Shorten tells Neil Mitchell he’s a more ‘credible’ leader than Malcolm Turnbull

Opposition leader Bill Shorten says he a more ‘credible’ alternative than Malcolm Turnbull.

Mr Shorten said on 3AW Mornings Mr Turnbull had drastically changed his mind on key issues since he became Prime Minister.

While opinion polls show the the election will be close, Mr Shorten’s personal popularity remains weak.

He told Neil Mitchell, politics is not about personalities but policies.

‘For me, leading people isn’t always about making people like you on every matter and it isn’t always about doing what people want, but what it is about is meaning what you say,’ he said on 3AW Mornings.
