Pigeons, gulls and other birds flitting around al fresco dining areas are making us sick – as the problem impacts not only the CBD but also regional and outer suburban areas.

Experts say faeces and other dangerous bacterias are spread across dining tables and seats.

Troy Dawson, from Dawsons Australia Pest Control, told Ross and John dozens of diseases were spread this way.

‘The droppings are on the table and once they dry, it turns into a dust and you obviously inhale that,’ he explained on 3AW Breakfast.
