Births, Deaths and Marriages bungle leaves Victorian woman in a bind

A Victorian woman has been left chasing Births, Deaths and Marriages for almost a year after a marriage certificate bungle.

Sarah got married in March 2023, but her marriage certificate was incorrectly formatted and people who don’t exist were listed as witnesses.

She booked flights in February 2023 for a trip in February this year using her married name, but now can’t use the tickets because she can’t have her passport changed until her marriage certificate is corrected.
