Eccentric multi-millionaire Danny Wallis snapped up three of the houses available at The Block auction this year, in a chaotic season finale.

The two houses he didn’t buy passed in.

Mr Wallis purchased Omar and Oz’s house for $5,666,666.66 after a bidding war with another man, Adrian Portelli.

Mr Portelli knew Omar and Oz, and rumours that he was a fake bidder planted to push up the price of the home have been swirling.

But Mr Wallis says that’s rubbish.

“There’s a lot of stuff in the media this morning saying he was fake and they are absolutely wrong,” he said.

“He was there to bid genuinely and I trust him. I don’t know him but I trust him.”

Mr Wallis will keep one house for himself, one will be used as a My Room Children’s Cancer Charity resort for sick kids, and he’s not sure what he’ll do with the third one.
