BLOG: BBL06 Hurricanes vs Strikers at Blundstone Arena

It was a completely untroubled run chase by the Hobart Hurricanes at Blundstone Arena to defeat the Adelaide Strikers by 8 wickets.  Tim Paine (41) and D’Arcy Short (60) were able to pile on the runs before Short lost his wicket with the Hurricanes on 105.  Home side spinner Dan Christian was awarded Man of the Match for his figures of 5/14 in particular taking 3 wickets in the 20th over.

Tony Leonard, Carl Rackemann and Graeme Bond sum up the Strikers innings.  Brad Hodge still and always the star set the Strikers up with a superb 55.

Dan Christian’s 3 wickets in the final over restricted the Strikers to a modest total by Blundstone Arena standards.  An interesting chase ahead for the Hurricanes.
