1st Innings: Adelaide Strikers 9/152 after 20 overs.

The Sydney Sixers require 153 runs for victory as they chase their third win of the BBL06 season. Sydney Sixers bowler Sean Abbott ripped through the Strikers line-up finishing with the impressive figures of 5/16 off his 4 overs. Brad Hodge (36) and Ben Dunk (37) started well but failed to build-on and post big scores. Last year’s NYE hero Travis Head couldn’t replicate his performance going out for 7. The Sixers will be confident they can get the job done in the 2nd innings on a pitch that looks to favour the batsmen.

The Sydney Sixers have won the toss and have elected to bowl.

The KFC Big Bash continues at the Adelaide Oval tonight with the Adelaide Strikers playing host to the Sydney Sixers.

The Adelaide Strikers go into tonight’s NYE blockbuster still chasing their first victory in BBL06. They’ll come up against the Sixers who are currently sitting at 2-1 and go into the match missing a host of players due to Australian team commitments. Striker Travis Head will be looking to repeat his performance from last NYE when the young gun scored a match winning 101* off 53 balls that sent Adelaide Oval into a frenzy. There’s sure to be plenty of fireworks before midnight when the two teams face-off in front of a sold-out crowd at the Adelaide Oval.
