BLOG: KFC BBL06: Melbourne Renegades v Hobart Hurricanes
The Hobart Hurricanes have pulled off the largest run chase in BBL history with one ball to spare in front of more than 27,000 fans at Etihad Stadium.

Ben McDermott was the star, hitting 114 (52). George Bailey contributed 59 (42) as well. The Renegades’ spinners took seven wickets between them, Narine the pick of the bowlers taking 3/27.

1st Innings: Melbourne Renegades 4/222 after 20 overs.
The Renegades have set the largest BBL score of all-time, amassing 4/222 here at Etihad Stadium. Aaron Finch top scored with 63 (40). Tom Cooper was also dominant with 53 (24). Jake Reed took 2/54 for Hobart, but none of their bowlers could get their economy rate below nine runs per over. The Hurricanes have the largest successful chase in BBL history of 7/210 in the 2013/14 season.

The Hobart Hurricanes have won the toss and elected to bowl first.
The KFC Big Bash is back at Etihad Stadium tonight with the Melbourne Renegades playing host to the Hobart Hurricanes. It’s the Renegades last home game for the season and come into tonight’s match sitting at 2-3 with the Hurricanes at 2-4. It’s a must win match for both sides if they are to play finals and tonight will be the first time since BBL|01 the two face-off at Etihad Stadium.
Both teams have made changes to their 13-man squad for tonight’s game. For the Renegades, Marcus Harris and Nathan Rimmington replace Tom Beaton and Chris Tremain; for the Hurricanes, bowlers Shaun Tait and Clive Rose make way for speedsters Sam Rainbird and Jake Reed. With finals spots up for grabs, there’s sure to be plenty of fireworks under the roof at Etihad Stadium.
