Body found in Bendigo creek

UPDATE

Police say the death of a man whose body was found in a creek in Golden Square in Bendigo this morning is not being treated as suspicious.

It is believed the man, identified as a 49-year-old Bendigo man, was riding at the time of the incident.

A passer-by discovered the man’s body partially submerged in the creek off Oak Street just before 10am. Search and Rescue divers have retrieved the man’s body and his pushbike from the water.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.
