Body found inside house in Melbourne’s east

The body of a woman has been found inside a home in Melbourne’s east.

Police were called to the Canterbury Road address in Box Hill South just before midday.

The remains of a woman were found inside.

Circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are yet to be established and the investigation is ongoing.

Caller Ben told Tom Elliott there was a heavy police prescence in the area.

“Between Station Street and Elgar Road on Canterbury Road, outside the aquatic centre there, there’s about 10-15 police cars and detectives everywhere,” Ben said.
