Body of missing woman found at Bendigo
It’s been confirmed remains, found at Bendigo on Wednesday, are those of a woman.
Police believe the body, found in a disused mine shaft, is that of missing Melton woman Simone Quinlan.
Detective Inspector Jill Dyson from the Missing Person Squad said the search for clues was continuing.
‘There’s many mine shaft and we have search and rescue assisting with entering those mine shafts and searching for evidence,’ she said.
Ms Quinlan went missing on August 24, and is believed to have been murdered the next day.
Three men have been charged over her murder and will face court early next year.
