Bolte bridge closed after shooting

A man shot in the chest on the Bolte Bridge tonight is reportedly a bikie.

Police have confirmed a shooting occurred, with emergency services responding just before 9pm on Friday after a man fell off his motorcycle.

A man was taken to the Alfred Hospital with non-life threatening injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.

The Herald Sun says it understands the man is part of the Bandidos Motorcycle club.

The Bolte Bridge  had to be closed southbound from Footscray Road as police investigated.
