Bomb squad called to car park near Melbourne Airport

There was brief chaos near Melbourne Airport on Friday afternoon, the bomb squad called after a suspicious item was found nearby.

3AW Drive was told about the incident, which unfolded on Garden Drive.

A suspicious item was found inside a car.

The incident has since been dealt with and the all-clear given by police.

There was no threat to public safety.
