Boronia mum creates GPS tracker for car, called Sudden Alert

A Boronia mum had her car stolen three weeks after giving birth to a premature baby.
She doesn’t want it to happen to anyone else.
With the help of an engineer, Cara Allen is designing GPS trackers to deter and stop thieves from taking cars.
She told Ross and John her car was only one metre away from her when it was taken.
‘I was sitting on the couch breastfeeding my son, and all of a sudden my car started behind me and drove off.’
When the car was returned a week and a half later, all the accessories had been taken out and it was written off.
Cara says the trackers can be plugged in, or hardwired to the car.
