Bottle shop trashed during brazen robbery

A bottle shop has been completely trashed during a brazen robbery.

3AW was alerted to the troubling incident at Cellarbrations at Sydenham on Friday.

Supreet Sohl told 3AW Drive it was a confronting scene when her family, which owns the business, arrived.

“The place still smells of alcohol,” she said.

“There has been quite a bit of damage done.”

Police are investigating.

They’ve been told two offenders arrived in a white ute, forcing the doors of the business open.

Once inside the men stole cigarettes and smashed a large number of bottles of alcohol.
