Melbourne Renegades star Brad Hogg says he’d never turn down an opportunity to play for Australia again.

But the 45-year-old veteran spinner isn’t expecting a phone call from selectors.

Hogg has again set the Big Bash League alight this summer, leading for some to call for him to be picked for the national side.

Australia has three upcoming Twenty20 matches against Sri Lanka.

‘You never give up while you’re still playing and if I get the opportunity I’m never going to say no, but I’d be very surprised if I did,’ Hogg told Sports Today.

Hogg claimed three wickets as the Renegades edged out the Stars in front of a massive crowd of 71,162 for the Melbourne derby.

‘It was one of the reasons I moved over here and it didn’t let me down,’ he said.

‘They just love their sport over here.’
