Brass plaques stolen from Melton’s ‘Avenue of Honour’
Thieves have struck the Avenue of Honour at Melton.
They’ve stolen 22 brass plaques, many bearing the names of people who have passed away.
Paul Butler from the Rotary Club of Melton Valley, who look after the avenue, told Neil Mitchell the club is ‘shattered’.
‘We’re looking at about $10,000 worth of brass,’ Mr Butler said.
