Brazen attempted home invasion in Brighton caught on camera
A brazen Brighton burglary was caught on camera this morning.
A 60-year-old woman was given the fright of her life when she awoke to intruders trying to break into her home at about 7.30am.
Tom told 3AW’s Jacqui Felgate his mum opened the door to find the would-be home invader trying to get in, and “she decided to run after him”.

The thieves stole a wallet and cash from a vehicle parked at the address and several other vehicles in nearby streets are also understood to have been targeted this morning.
Liberal MP for Brighton, James Newbury, says there’s been an “explosion of these crimes in Brighton and it’s really scaring local families”.
“There has been a 30 per cent increase over the last year just in that one suburb,” he said.
